Job Summary

We are adding a Project Manager II to a newly acquired business platform Compass Water Solutions, a leading global supplier of membrane-based industrial water treatment, wastewater treatment, oily water treatment, & reverse osmosis systems. This role is located in Tustin, CA. Remote work is not authorized.

The Project Manager II works closely with all other departments within Compass Water Solutions to complete projects on time and within budget. They take ownership and great care to ensure the health of each project. The Project Manager II must be proficient in all responsibilities listed below as they are also responsible for mentoring and training Project Manager I.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

  • Work with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Management to respond to RFQ's.
  • Communicate with clients to manage expectations, determine scope of work, prepare documentation, and satisfy their requirements.
  • Identify and manage issues, risks, & changes.
  • Manage multiple projects at any given time.
  • Review specifications alongside Engineering and Sales to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Establish a Project documentation management system to manage documents such as Certifications, Conformance Declarations, Inspection & Test Plans, Instrument Lists, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, General Arrangements, and all other types of documents required by the project, and according to the project’s Document Control Procedure.
  • Utilize Project Management tools to effectively manage a project from start to finish. Utilizing all available resources and personnel to complete the project on time and within budget.
  • Conduct review meetings with Management and the Production Department to track the status and to communicate the requirements of any project in progress.
  • Provide engineering assistance to all departments at a high level, regarding interpretation of any drawings and/or the operation of each Compass product.
  • Perform Document Control activities to submit documentation on time, and according to client requirements.
  • Schedule and facilitate any testing activities, such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Noise & Vibration testing, Positive Material Identification (PMI), Load Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Hydrostatic testing, etc.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Engineering field.
  • Must have 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience and project implementation.
  • Strong Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Visio.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 

 

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.

Pay Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
