The Assembler is responsible for manufacturing filtration devices, wrapping them and shipping them to customers.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

 

  • Responsible for assembling filtration devices.
  • Working and communicating in a team.
  • Responsible for pleating and cutting elements to size using band saw and circular saw.
  • Welding occasionally using bullet, cylinder, and endcap welding.
  • Working with different types of wraps, such as banding, drain layers, netting, and socking.
  • Review and follow the pace chart.
  • Able to read the traveler and follow directions when working on orders.
  • Confirm quality inspection of products.
  • Report any defective products to Operations.
  • Report on defective machinery to Automation.
  • Ensure that the products are properly packed and palletized for shipment.
  • Keep the workstation clean to avoid safety hazards.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and follow safety guidelines.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year in same or similar role.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools used in the manufacture of steel products. 
  • Knowledge of materials, primarily ASME/ASTM/Euro Norm steel and metals, including the ability to understand specifications, properties and interaction with other products in the system.
  • Manufacturing: Knowledge of welded assemblies, ASME Code, B31 piping Codes.
  • English Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
  • Well-developed ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong attention to details.

 

ADA Requirements:   

Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.   

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.  
  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some work with physical computer and/or networking systems may be required to fulfill operational requirements.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
