Kemco Systems provides engineered-to-order energy conservation, water treatment, and wastewater treatment solutions aimed at minimizing water usage and environmental impact. The business serves the food and beverage, industrial laundry, and concrete market segments in North America. The company manufactures packaged solutions and supports customers with field services and replacement parts.
The General Manager (GM) will oversee all financial results for the business, including full P&L responsibility for orders, revenue, cash, working capital, and operating income. The GM is also responsible for ensuring the development and deployment of the business strategy, focusing on growth, revenue, and profitability projections. The GM will lead a commercial and technical team to deliver on agreed growth initiatives while optimizing production and engineering efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities and sustain profitable revenues.
• Monitor performance in alignment with the business strategy to achieve revenue, cash, operating income, and financial objectives.
• Drive growth and business development strategy to identify and penetrate emerging markets and increase market share.
• Evaluate external competitive environments and industry trends to develop targeted marketing and growth strategies.
• Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies and customer management efforts.
• Lead M&A acquisition strategy and identify potential targets to accelerate business growth.
• Implement transformation initiatives to support business objectives and enhance customer excellence.
• Attract, retain, and develop top talent to ensure the company achieves its sales and growth targets.
• Develop and maintain a robust new product development (NPD) roadmap for consistent, high-quality deliveries.
• Represent the company in industry meetings and serve as the primary spokesperson for the business.
• Manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes while reviewing performance data and metrics.
• Develop performance measurements for team evaluation and organizational success.
• Evaluate team member performance and foster leadership development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical, commercial, and business management roles, particularly within the industrial market segment.
• Proven experience in leading profitable P&L organizations and driving global growth.
• Strong project/program management background with the ability to handle multiple complex projects.
• Expertise in managing industrial company M&A processes and integration.
• Demonstrated track record of transforming or scaling businesses successfully.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead teams effectively.
• Sales and Marketing: Knowledge of sales principles, marketing strategy, product promotion, and sales techniques.
• Administration and Management: Understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
• Customer Service: Knowledge of customer service principles, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or other advanced degrees desired.
• Experience with water/wastewater solutions.
• Experience building strong organizational teams and contributing to bench strength.
• Success in developing and executing strategic business plans.
• Expertise in leading complex, high-stakes profit and loss organizations.
Licensing/Certifications:
• None required.
Travel Requirement:
• Expected to travel up to 30% of the time, including the ability to travel across borders.

• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.
