The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of inside sales representatives who sell products or services by developing sales strategies, setting sales targets, monitoring performance metrics, coaching and training, and ensuring they meet or exceed revenue goals while maintaining strong customer relationships; they typically collaborate with other departments like engineering, and production to optimize the sales process and customer experience.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Train inside sales representatives; supervise team of employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conduct performance evaluations/employee development plans and salary reviews to recommend compensation levels for personnel. Resolve interpersonal issues within department, escalating if required.
• Adjust staffing needs for the inside sales team to meet desired service levels. Monitor department expense and manpower budgets.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to improve sales skills and performance.
• Set individual and team sales targets and quotas.
• Monitor sales performance through key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Foster a positive and high-performing sales culture.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
• Manage sales pipelines and ensure effective lead qualification and follow-up.
• Oversee the sales process, including lead generation, presentations, and closing deals.
• Monitor and verify that all customer contact (orders, quotes, credits, etc.) are handled in a timely, professional manner and to the satisfaction of management and customers.
• Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines and schedule/lead department staff meetings and functions.
• Establish and execute product, policy, and computer training. Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach goals. Monitor/report sales metrics to senior management (identify opportunities/concerns).
• Apply experience and judgment in the interpretation and application of direction of senior management and provide management communications to the sales department.
• Responsible for making sure the Outside Sales team is successfully supported by the Inside Sales team.
• Maintain basic customer information through contact with the Sales Managers, providing the means for sharing this information with Customer Service, Quotes, Planning, Engineering, and Production.
• Track and analyze sales data to identify trends and patterns.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to present to management.
• Utilize CRM tools to manage customer information and sales activities.
• Collaborate with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer service and/or sales role.
• 2+ years of experience managing or supervising a customer service or equivalent function.
• Proven track record of successfully managing an inside sales team and delivering sales growth results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively influence customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a sense of urgency, meeting (and exceeding) sales targets and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to develop insights and improve performance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and train team members to improve sales performance and meet targets.
• Knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) is an asset.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Understanding of sales methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong computer literacy; experience with Word, Excel, etc.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated exceptional people skills.
• Communicate effectively with sales team members, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Attend and contribute to the planning and execution of customer events, sales meetings, and national trade shows and conferences as requested.
• Strong ability to handle complaints and unpleasant customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Industrial Air Handling or Dust Collection.
Travel Requirements (Requirement):
• Minimal amount of travel. Less than 10%

• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.
