The Director Sales role is responsible for developing the overall sales strategy for Fluid Handling & Filtration segment in US, Canada and Mexico, implementing and executing growth plans, creating demand in the market and development of growth segments for the Fluid Solutions business. Key focus will be to manage the Regional Sales Manager team to drive growth through seller performance (sales calls, business plans, target business and OEM customer growth). The position will be responsible for identifying, validating, and developing specific business segments while managing the business channels and territories to ensure CECO Fluid has maximum coverage based on needs of the business. This includes scoping new and existing sales markets, developing a strong sales team, creating a winning strategy, developing, and winning new customer opportunities as well as supporting customers throughout the business cycle.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Actively participates in guiding and crafting the growth strategy for fluid solutions in North America
- Manage the sales team through metrics driven coaching to grow the business
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base and developing a channel plan to maximize brand presence
- Manage the distribution, OEM and end user business through all cycles
- Build, develop, manage and lead a sales team to effectively target all prospective customers.
- Ensure timely and routine communications with Regional Sales Managers and Territory Representatives on competitive information, product issues, market trends and customer perception of Fluid Handling & Filtration products and services.
- Load CRM (Salesforce.com) database with new information and routine review of data to keep the information up to date and accurate.
- Prospect and convert leads into profitable business relationships.
- Has full ownership in the selection, training, evaluation of Regional Sales Managers, Sales Support Management and Territory Sales Representatives.
- Evaluate Team Member performance and manage accordingly to maximize sales revenue and market penetration.
- Directs customer sales in alignment with our business strategy, understanding customer needs by creating value propositions to customers.
- Actively drives and defines the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, and positioning of fluid solutions with direct customer engagement and indirect sales channels.
- Ensures delivery of growth objectives for pipeline development, bookings, and gross margin.
- Continually evaluates the overall market and competitors. Based on this analysis, updates our growth strategy, sales, and marketing approach to ensure we are focused on the best area of opportunity and present a differentiated offering that secures a high win rate with appropriate margins.
- Leads new business generation and cross selling to existing customers in focused market segments as assigned by the business.
- Builds and maintains strong, positive relationships with clients, agents, and distributors.
- Handles customer and prospect inquiries/leads and provides business support as required, including recommendations on business decisions and initial review of conditions and terms of sale.
- Collaborates technical and project team across our global business platform as required.
- Is an expert in competitive landscape and provides ongoing guidance to organization.
- Is a key player in understanding company’s position in the market and can provide direction on growth markets, new products, and how to best leverage market needs and trends.

Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical/Chemical or Equivalent Experience. MBA preferred.
- 10+ more years’ experience selling industrial rotating equipment.
- Industry or application experience with industrial manufacturing markets partnering with small businesses and selling to family organizations is strongly preferred.
- Proven results identifying business opportunities and a track record as a deal closer in highly technical sales markets.
- Significant personal motivation, goal orientation, diligence, and attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills required.
- Team oriented and strong communication skills required.
Self-motivated, personally accountable for driving results and winning business.
Travel Requirements: Travel is required, as necessary to support the business and is estimated to be 50% or greater; must have the ability to travel across borders.

- Microsoft suite of products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook. Capable in managing front end markets through CRM such as SalesForce or SAP. Awareness of MRP software such as D365, SAP or other preferred.
