We are looking for a results-oriented IT ERP specialist to successfully integrate our ERP software. You will be collaborating with senior managers to determine which business processes need optimization, enhancing the performance of our IT systems, and deploying and implementing suitable ERP solutions. The IT ERP Specialist installs, configures, and maintains enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and partners with business stakeholders and IT peers to ensure an optimized and secure system for CECO use. This role determines ERP needs, designs, and delivers ERP functionality, and integrates ERP technologies with existing systems. To ensure success as an ERP specialist, this role should exhibit extensive knowledge of ERP systems, business acumen, problem solving and the ability to resolve integration issues. An outstanding ERP specialist will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined business processes and highly efficient human resources management.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:


• Establishing ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation.


• Analyzing existing systems and performing IT system enhancements.


• Writing customized standard operating procedures, as well as configuring ERP applications as required.


• Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimize performance.


• Providing technical support and training ERP end-users.


• Serve as subject matter expert on ERP systems and processes.


• Develop training materials and provide user training on ERP system changes.


• Monitoring system performance and partner with the infrastructure team to identify areas for improvement.


• Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP processes.


• Adhering to company policies, regulatory compliance, and industry regulations.


• Keeping abreast of the latest ERP features and upgrades.


• Partnering with technical teams on all levels of support for ERP users experiencing technical issues.


• Configuring user roles and permissions within D365 to enable the right level of segregation of duties (SOD) for end-users.


• Documenting the different solutions implemented (business rules, flow rules, schematics, user documentation, processes, configurations, etc.).


• Leading the functional design, implementation, and maintenance of specific business areas of D365.


• Shaping business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Translates conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.


• Working with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.


• Prioritize and maintain the product backlog and participate in sprint planning to help determine the technical team’s objectives for the upcoming sprint.


• Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives; ensures the team has a clear understanding of the business priorities.


• Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done.


• Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.

 

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar preferred.


• At least 3 years’ experience as an ERP specialist in a related industry.


• A background in business administration, project management, or a related field will be advantageous.


• In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, and business processes.


• Extensive experience working in specific areas such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Material and Resource Scheduling/ Planning, Production Routing, Bill of Material Costing, and Shop Floor.


• Prior experience in designing and implementing business solutions.


• Experience with ERP implementations and Migrations to D365, ISVs and integrations.


• Ability to understand complex business problems and experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.


• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of new businesses.


• Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.


• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.


• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.


• Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation, use case, story, and acceptance criteria.

 

Licensing or Certifications:


One or more of the following certifications is preferred:


• Dynamics 365 certifications in Trade & Logistics and/or Production control preferred.


• Dynamics 365 certifications in Finance, Human Resources, and Project Accounting a plus.

 

Travel Requirements:


• Occasional travel may be required, as necessary; must have the ability to travel across borders.

 

ADA Requirements:


Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.

 

• Physical Demands: Positions in this function typically require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

 

• Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.

 

• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.

 

• Compliance with company attendance standards.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
