In this role you will handle, move and store various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. The main duties include building skids and palletizing; arranging and securing products, such as boxes or bags, onto a pallet in a stable pattern to optimize storage and shipping in a logistics supply chain. Physically demanding work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Unload and load semi-trucks. Responsible for receiving, verification and ensuring overall integrity of products incoming and outgoing.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:


• Participate in the shipping, receiving, storing, material handling and placement of supplies, materials, and equipment in a timely manner.


• Material movement and inspection of products/goods for damage and conformity.


• Participate in the stocking of products; plan storage locations; determine proper location of supplies to allow for maximum space utilization.


• Serve in a flexible warehouse function role as it relates to material handling.


• Builds and prepares packaging of goods when required.

 

• Inventory Management.

 

• Must be willing to operate a scissor lift. 

 

• Other job duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:


• High school diploma or GED required.


• 2 years of material handling or material management experience.

 

• Must be able to fit in very tight confined spaces, i.e.: inside a small tank with entrance/exit through an 18-inch manway or by climbing over and side via ladder.


Licensing or Certifications:


• Forklift certification preferred.

 

ADA Requirements:


Production Environment: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.

 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and larger weights with proper equipment. This job is located in an un air-conditioned warehouse.


• Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 


• Compliance with company attendance standards.
