Assembly operators follow operative guidelines to build a product for a company based on blueprints and instructions. Their duties include checking that items are fully assembled, ensuring that safety protocols are followed, and troubleshooting any issues found during production.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:


• Building products on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.


• Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.


• Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects.


• Loading product pieces slated for assembly onto the line and packing assembled products into boxes for storage.


• Stopping and/or halting production if machinery fails or a major defect is detected.


• Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to management.


• Working on the production line and meeting production targets.

 

• Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.

 

• Assembling products and parts.


• Following production guidelines and specifications.


• Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.


• Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.


• Taking part in product development meetings.


• Verifying dimensions and product specifications.


• Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present.


• Marking cutting lines on material. Working cutting machine.


• Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in.


• Build wooden crates if needed.


• Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.


• Adhering to assembly safety standards.


• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.


Required Qualifications:


• A High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.


• Knowledgeable in manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.


Preferred Qualifications:


• At least 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


• Able to use and understand measurements and using tape measurement tools is preferred.

 

Travel Requirement:


• None.


ADA Requirements:


• Standing and walking for long periods, often throughout an entire shift.


• Frequent Bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.


• Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects typically up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items.


• Reaching with hands and arms and using common hand tools or warehouse equipment.


• The job is usually performed in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures.


• Must be alert to warehouse hazards, such as forklift traffic and stacked products.


• Compliance with company attendance standards.
