The Sr HR Systems and M&A Specialist is a critical contributor to the company’s growth strategy, serving as both a senior HR systems expert and the primary HR partner for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integration activities. This role leads HR systems due diligence, integration planning, and execution while also owning the design, optimization, and ongoing support of the company’s HR technology ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on ADP and iCIMS.

This position partners closely with HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and business leaders to assess acquisition readiness, identify HR technology risks and dependencies, define target-state solutions, and ensure seamless post-close integrations. The role balances hands-on system configuration and administration with strategic advisory responsibilities to ensure scalable, compliant, and data-driven HR systems that support both organic growth and M&A-driven expansion.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

HR Systems Strategy, Administration & Optimization

  • Act as a subject matter expert for ADP and iCIMS, providing advanced system configuration, administration, and ongoing optimization across Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Workforce Management modules.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into system solutions, and recommend best-practice configurations aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Lead enhancements, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve system usability, data quality, automation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Own HR systems data governance, including data structure, security roles, audit controls, and compliance with employment, payroll, and data privacy regulations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, standard reports, and ad hoc analytics to support workforce planning, operational insights, and executive decision-making.
  • Ensure system accuracy and integrity through regular audits, reconciliations, testing, and validation of data and system functionality.

M&A Due Diligence & Integration

  • Serve as the HR lead for M&A activities, supporting due diligence by assessing target companies’ HR systems, data quality, processes, risks, and integration complexity.
  • Partner with HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and external advisors to evaluate HR implications during pre-close and post-close phases.
  • Develop and execute HR integration plans, including data mapping, migration strategy, configuration alignment, testing, and cutover planning.
  • Lead or support employee data conversions, system consolidations, and decommissioning of legacy systems while minimizing disruption to payroll, benefits, and employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes and systems post-acquisition while balancing change management and business continuity needs.
  • Support divestitures and carve-outs by executing data separation, system reconfiguration, and compliance requirements.

Integrations, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with IT and external vendors to design, implement, and maintain integrations between ADP, iCIMS, and other enterprise systems using APIs and third-party tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues, partnering with vendors and escalating as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, including issue resolution, roadmap discussions, and support of contract-related activities.

Documentation, Training & Change Support

  • Create and maintain system documentation, including configuration documentation, process flows, standard operating procedures, and end-user guides.
  • Support system training and change management efforts by partnering with HR Operations and COEs to ensure adoption of new features and processes.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for HR systems issues and mentor junior HRIS or HR Operations team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in HR systems, HRIS, or HR technology roles.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering and configuring enterprise HRIS platforms (ADP experience strongly preferred; iCIMS experience highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting M&A due diligence, system integrations, or large-scale HR system implementations preferred.
  • Licensing or Certifications (Preferred)
    • ADP Workforce Now or ADP Enterprise certification.
    • iCIMS platform certification.
    • HRIS, HR analytics, or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% may be required.
  • Occasional International Travel may be required.
