The CECO Rotational Leadership Program is a two-year accelerated development track designed to cultivate high-potential talent into future leaders. Participants rotate through four core business functions in 4-6 month cycles, gaining cross-functional expertise while contributing to high-impact initiatives across the organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Business Development

  • Partner with commercial teams on strategic sales pursuits, supporting customer discovery, technical solution development, and executive-level proposal presentations
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify emerging growth opportunities across energy, industrial, and infrastructure verticals
  • Engage directly with customers, attend industry conferences, and develop market insights that inform go-to-market strategy
  • Drive sales process optimization initiatives including CRM enhancement, pipeline analytics, and win/loss analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance to develop integrated customer solutions and competitive pricing strategies

Finance

  • Support financial planning and analysis activities including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis across business segments
  • Contribute to M&A transaction support including target screening, financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning
  • Develop business cases and investment analyses for capital expenditures, strategic initiatives, and organic growth opportunities
  • Participate in monthly close processes, management reporting, and preparation of materials for Board of Directors and investor presentations
  • Gain exposure to treasury operations, tax planning, internal controls, and corporate accounting functions within a public company environment

 

Operations

  • Engage in end-to-end project execution from order entry through engineering, fabrication, and field commissioning to understand CECO's delivery model
  • Support supply chain optimization including strategic sourcing, vendor management, procurement analytics, and logistics coordination across global manufacturing sites
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives applying lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or equivalent frameworks to drive operational excellence
  • Contribute to quality assurance programs including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and process capability enhancement
  • Develop working knowledge of EHS compliance requirements, safety culture initiatives, and operational risk management across manufacturing environments

Marketing

  • Support brand strategy execution and corporate communications initiatives across digital platforms, trade publications, and industry events
  • Develop competitive intelligence deliverables and market positioning analyses that inform strategic planning and commercial decision-making
  • Contribute to product marketing initiatives including value proposition development, sales collateral creation, and go-to-market launch planning
  • Execute digital marketing campaigns, manage website optimization projects, and analyze marketing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Support investor relations activities, ESG reporting and communications, and thought leadership content development for executive visibility

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; graduate degree in Finance, Business Management, or Operations preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, or a related field
  • Strong academic record demonstrating analytical rigor and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, professional, or extracurricular activities
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior internship or work experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or environmental sectors
  • Exposure to cross-functional projects or consulting engagements
  • International experience or multilingual capabilities

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
