We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Product Engineer to lead engineering, advancement, and execution of turbine exhaust and SCR systems for global energy projects. This role requires deep knowledge of exhaust system design, structural/thermal analysis, and complex project delivery, combined with strong crossfunctional leadership and the ability to drive technical excellence across distributed teams.


Your Responsibilities Will Be

Design & Engineering

  • Lead the structural and mechanical design of major components of a combustion turbine’s catalytic emission control system(s), ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Perform advanced CFD/FEA, thermal expansion, stress, vibration, and fatigue assessments to validate design performance.
  • Oversee all required inputs to support detailed modeling, including CFD, transient life-cycle analysis, and cold-flow simulation.
  • Drive consistency and best practices across engineering teams by applying validated design rules, quality processes, and harmonized engineering methods.

 

Product Advancement & Innovation

  • Develop new design concepts that improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Lead costout initiatives, product improvements, and technical innovations.
  • Integrate lessons learned from field performance, RCA findings, and customer feedback.

 

Project Execution

  • Support global sourcing, supplier qualification, and fabrication processes.
  • Provide direct technical support to fabrication partners and ensure compliance with engineering and quality specifications.
  • Generate documentation for installation, rigging, transportation, and commissioning.
  • Support issue resolution, warranty activities, and site supervision as needed.

 

Team & Technical Leadership

  • Mentor designers, drafters, and junior engineers.
  • Lead or participate in multidisciplinary design reviews for complex projects.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, OEMs, suppliers, and construction partners.
  • Publish design guidelines and support internal technical training.

 

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure conformity with applicable codes and standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement through structured QA/QC practices.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years in design, development, and field execution of gas turbine intake/exhaust systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise with CFD/FEA tools and experimental validation techniques.
  • Strong background supporting fabrication, supplier qualification, installation, and field troubleshooting.
  • Experience coordinating global or matrixed engineering teams.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software, CFD/FEA tools, and leading CAD platforms.
  • Expertise in mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, acoustics, and vibration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to drive innovation and maintain rigorous technical oversight.

 

Licensing or Certifications:

  • PE preferred; Chartered Engineer or equivalent is beneficial.

 

 

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel when necessary.


ADA Requirements

Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.


Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
