The Senior IT Director, Global Infrastructure & Operations is the enterprise leader responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of CECO Environmental’s global technology foundation. This role oversees infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity operations, and IT service management across all regions, ensuring secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective services that support business growth and a strong employee experience. As the VP of IT’s primary operational partner, this leader drives execution, modernization, and global standardization across a complex technology landscape. They ensure CECO’s hybrid cloud, global networks, collaboration tools, and service operations meet the needs of a multinational manufacturing organization while maintaining strong security and compliance. Working closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders, the role translates business strategy, growth initiatives, and M&A activity into modern, resilient, and standardized IT services. This position is ideal for a seasoned global leader with deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity operations, and service management, and a strong focus on operational excellence.
 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Strategy & Technology Leadership

  • Own and execute CECO’s Infrastructure & IT Operations strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to business, digital, cybersecurity, and data priorities.
  • Lead transition to a cloud-first, service-oriented model with Azure and Microsoft platforms at the core.
  • Translate growth, global operations, and M&A needs into scalable, standardized, and resilient solutions.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on infrastructure, cloud, resilience, and operational risk.

Global Infrastructure & Operations

  • Oversee design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure (on-prem and cloud), Azure environments, global networks (WAN/LAN/SD-WAN/SASE), and end-user computing (M365).
  • Drive automation, standardization, and reliability engineering to enable operational excellence.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

IT Service Management (ITIL / ITSM)

  • Lead global ITSM strategy and operations, optimizing ITIL-based practices for business outcomes.
  • Own Incident, Problem, Change, Major Incident, and Service Request processes.
  • Use ITSM platforms and data to improve reliability, reduce repeat issues, and enhance user experience.
  • Define and manage SLAs/OLAs and service catalogs; leverage AIOps and automation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish and enforce global infrastructure, cloud, and operational governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, CMMC, and ITGC requirements.
  • Lead third-party risk, vendor governance, and technology risk assessments.
  • Partner with Architecture, Security, and Internal Audit on controls and standards.

Cybersecurity & Resilience

  • Own operational security across infrastructure, including patching, vulnerability management, and secure configurations.
  • Lead backup, disaster recovery, and resilience testing.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity on Zero Trust, incident response, and ransomware readiness.
  • Embed security into all infrastructure and operational processes.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures

  • Lead IT due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition harmonization.
    Develop standardized onboarding playbooks for acquired entities.
    Assess technology risks, costs, and operational impacts.
  • Financial & Vendor Management
  • Own Infrastructure & Operations budget, forecasting, and cost optimization.
    Lead cloud FinOps and license optimization.
    Manage global vendors, MSPs, and cloud providers to ensure performance, value, and compliance.

People Leadership

  • Build and lead high-performing global teams.
  • Define workforce strategy across internal talent, outsourcing, and partners.
  • Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Coach leaders, develop succession plans, and mitigate key-person risk.

Metrics & Transparency

  • Define and report KPIs for availability, performance, cost, risk, and user experience.
    Deliver data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS desired, MBA or MS preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years in Information Technology and at least 10 years’ experience in a management role with direct reports.
  • 10 or more years of related experience at publicly traded manufacturing organization is preferred with demonstrated success leading M&A technology integrations and ability to lead global teams managing MSP’s and vendor ecosystems
  • 10 or more years of global customer service and technical experience with Azure, M365, and global WAN is preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability to conceptualize, analyze, and solve technical and business challenges and ability to work with global teams and managed service providers

Licensing and Certifications preferred:          

  • ITIL v3 / ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (Architect, Administrator, or equivalent)
  • Relevant security or governance certifications (CISM, CISSP, or similar) a plus

 

Travel Requirements (Requirement: 
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35%
 
 
ADA Requirements/Work Environment: This position is based at the headquarters located in Dallas, TX. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.
