The Field Service Specialist is responsible for defining and executing post-sale, on-site technical product support and services for CECO Industrial Solutions. CECO Industrial Solutions includes the Adwest, Busch, CECO Filters, Flex-Kleen, Fisher Klosterman, and HEE-Duall product lines, which provide hazardous gas and odor control, volatile organic compounds (VOC) abatement, particulate filtration and purification, separators, and ventilation solutions. The ideal candidate has solid experience with mechanical, thermal, chemical, and electrical devices.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Executes established field services processes and procedures.
• Conducts on-site installation, equipment start-up and commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensures all field service projects are completed within budget and deadline to meet customer needs.
• Maintains active, positive, and supportive contact with other departments to support planning and budget objectives.
• Communicates with customers and team members in a manner that builds trust and supports efficient and effective problem resolution.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all information concerning the Company’s operational practices, marketing, engineering, pricing and sales strategies, customer and prospect lists, and financial operations and performance.
• Allocates time efficiently and effectively while tracking critical information, schedules, and deadlines.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company and OSHA guidelines; pursues safety initiatives in support of the Company’s vision of “zero accidents”; maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and general correspondence are communicated accurately, concisely, and appropriately for the target audience.
• Understands and complies with all Company policies and procedures, as well as applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Field Services Specialist and/or Technician.
• Engineering and/or electronics experience, or equivalent work experience, training, or education; Degree preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license; driving record must meet acceptable Company standards and be maintained to operate a vehicle while on Company business.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including component and material specifications, computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to upload/download and make minor field modifications to PLC/HMI programming as needed. Primarily Allen Bradley.
• Working knowledge of business-related software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; exposure to MRP/ERP systems preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of process instrumentation, including pressure, flow and temperature transmitters, valve actuators, and testing and calibration of these components.
• Considerable knowledge of Field Service management tools and software.
• Considerable knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment for measurement of process source emissions.
• Considerable knowledge of safe handling, storage, and operation of equipment that utilizes hazardous chemicals.
• Considerable knowledge of rotating equipment, including dampers, actuators, controls, and seal air fans.
Travel Requirements:
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including travel across state borders.

Work Environment: This role requires on-site field work and customer support. Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
• The role may require concentrated mental and/or visual attention, including complex tasks requiring close accuracy, quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
Work is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; however, incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noise, and travel.
• Compliance with Company attendance standards is required.
• Physical requirements are consistent with Light Work, including exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
