The Field Engineer serves as a highly skilled technical professional responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and interpreting complex field testing activities at gas processing plants, refineries, and other industrial process facilities. This role applies advanced engineering principles, fluid dynamics expertise, and independent judgment to evaluate hydrocarbon process streams, diagnose operational issues, and provide technical recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Working with substantial autonomy, the Field Engineer functions as the primary technical advisor during field projects, exercising discretion in determining testing methodologies, troubleshooting process conditions, interpreting analytical results, and developing solutions to complex fluid processing challenges. The position requires advanced knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, phase behavior, and process engineering principles to ensure accurate testing, data integrity, and meaningful business outcomes for customers.
The Field Engineer is responsible for managing field projects from initiation through final reporting, including technical planning, real-time process evaluation, customer consultation, and preparation of professional engineering recommendations that influence operational decisions.
