The Sr Manager, ASW Projects is responsible for leading the execution of customer projects across the North American Separation Filtration platform. This role provides leadership for Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement resources to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, profitably, and in accordance with customer, quality, and technical requirements.

The Sr Manager, ASW Projects works closely with customers, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and global engineering teams to successfully convert project backlog into revenue while meeting delivery commitments. This role drives project execution excellence through effective resource planning, schedule management, risk mitigation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position provides leadership, coaching, and development for a team comprised primarily of project managers, engineers, procurement professionals, and other individual contributors. The Sr Manager leads by example, promotes accountability, and fosters a culture focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Project Leadership & Execution

• Leads execution of customer projects from order release through final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer requirements.
• Establishes priorities, workflows, and performance expectations across Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement functions.
• Effectively allocates resources across multiple projects within a matrixed organization.
• Identifies and mitigates project risks to support successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Drives accountability for project milestones, deliverables, financial performance, and operational metrics.
• Monitors project status and provides regular updates to leadership regarding schedule, cost, resource requirements, risks, and opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partners with Manufacturing, Fabrication, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of project requirements, schedules, and customer commitments.
• Serves as a key liaison between project teams and manufacturing operations to support successful execution and delivery.
• Collaborates with global engineering teams to optimize resource utilization and execution effectiveness.
• Supports coordination between Sales, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Customers to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Engages directly with customers to address project requirements, schedules, issue resolution, and overall project performance.

Operational Excellence

• Establishes and maintains project management processes, standards, and best practices that support consistency and operational excellence.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives that improve project execution, communication, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, customer requirements, ISO-9001 quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develops and maintains operational processes to support risk mitigation and improved execution performance.
• Brings practical leadership and best practices that strengthen organizational capability and project performance.

Team Leadership

• Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops project management, engineering, procurement, and related project personnel.
• Conducts workforce planning activities in partnership with leadership to support resource needs and business growth.
• Fosters a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused work environment.
• Supports employee engagement, professional development, performance management, and succession planning activities.
• Promotes teamwork and collaboration across functions and geographic locations.

Financial & Business Performance

• Oversees project-related expenditures including external contractors, fabricators, major components, engineering support, and procurement activities to support project profitability.
• Supports achievement of revenue, margin, and backlog conversion objectives.
• Provides leadership with project execution insights, operational recommendations, and business performance indicators.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline and ten (10) or more years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ten (10+) years of experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineered-to-order, or project-based business environments.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional project teams and executing complex customer projects.
• Experience managing project schedules, resource planning, budgets, customer deliverables, and project profitability.
• Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and resources preferred.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering design, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, ISO-9001 quality systems, welding standards, and/or the oil & gas, energy, industrial, or process equipment industries preferred.

Licensing/Certifications:

• None required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.

Travel Requirements: 

• Travel is required as business needs dictate, including the ability to travel domestically and internationally, and across borders as required.

ADA Requirements:

Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

• Concentrated mental and/or visual attention is required.
• Work involves performing complex tasks requiring accuracy, judgment, and sustained attention.
• Work is generally performed under normal office conditions.
• Visits to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, customers, and project sites may be required to support project execution activities.
• Compliance with company attendance standards is required.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Work primarily involves sitting, with occasional standing and walking.
